What’s new this season?

After the winter break we opened the caravan site as planned on 1st March. During the break we took the opportunity to enlarge and realign the pitches to increase the space between the vans and to make the pitches and the adjoining grass areas level. The hardcore was then topped with 30 tons of shingle from the local quarry. We are pleased with the result, and the feedback from the guests has been very positive. A picture of our re-vamped CL site, shortly after we opened for the new season, is below.

CL Mar 2013

With the cold nights we have put an oil filled radiator in the gents as this side faces the easterly winds which come straight off the North Sea. Due to the limited number of electric connections the ladies have had to wait for some warmth until our local electrician was available. He will be installing overhead heaters in both the ladies and the gents tomorrow, in time for our Easter guests. The early mornings and evenings have certainly been rather frosty in recent days and the heaters will take the edge off the chill at the start and end of the day. Although not intended, we have also put a new shower in the gents and a replacement element in the gents’ water heater, both becoming inoperative during the recent cold spell.

As requested by a number of our guests, we have also arranged for a local delivery service to deliver newspapers to both the caravan site and the cottages from Easter. The delivery service already delivers to the village, and Church Farm Cottages will be included on the round.

We look forward to sunnier skies and warmer weather and to welcoming you to our CL and cottages.
